U. S. Department of Education Resources Information Center

The Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) was created by the U.S. Department of Education as a repository for education research to be accessed by the public. There are two paths that Golisano Library users can navigate to access ERIC:

1)     EBSCO (the database vendor) version can be accessed through the library’s webpage, clicking on the drop-down menu under Electronic Resources and choosing Education. Because this EBSCO version is accessible through the library, it will provide links to the full text of articles in other databases if they are not available in ERIC. This feature is not available through the Department of Education website.

2)     The Department of Education hosts the repository at http://eric.ed.gov/. The Department of Education ERIC is a great resource for students once they graduate and are no longer affiliated with the school and our library resources. They can access the Department of Education website at no charge and find links to full text articles.

If you have any questions about ERIC and its feature, please contact Golisano Instruction Librarian Erin Bennett, (585) 594-6141 or Bennett_erin@roberts.edu or stop by the Library’s Research Assistance Desk.
