Golisano Library Team Begins 2018

The Golisano Library Team kicked off 2018 with our annual January Retreat on January 4th, beginning with an update from CAO David Basinger and an insightful devotion by Pastor Wally Fleming. Our morning focused on a discussion of our Myers-Briggs personality types in relation to stressors and useful strategies for assisting one another during stressful times. We also revisited our Clifton’s StrengthsFinder assessments and how to leverage our shared and unique strengths when planning and implementing projects in the Library.

After lunch we headed to The Escape Room in Rochester for an afternoon of team building. Our team was able to successfully solve five puzzles and a final challenge to escape “Dr. Watson’s Infirmary,” joining the elite 24% of teams that were able to successfully escape from the room within the one-hour time limit! Our yearly retreats provide us with time to come together as a team, engaging in meaningful discussions that assist our team in working and serving the campus more effectively – and, of course, to have some fun.
