2018 ACL Research Award Winners Announced

On Wednesday, April 25th, the Association of Christian Librarians Research Award for 2018 was presented to Amanda Eggleton, who will be graduating this May with a BS in Social Work. She was enthusiastically nominated for the award by Dr. David Haller for her research paper on “Sexual Assault Prevention on College Campuses” and additional research projects.

In addition, the Golisano Library was pleased to present an Honorable Mention Award to Hannah Sytsema for her research project, “Tell Me A Story.” Hannah was nominated by Dr. Elvera Berry and will be graduating in May with a BA in Communication.

Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary are privileged to offer this research award on an annual basis by virtue of our membership in ACL’s institutional counterpart, the Christian Library Consortium. Recipients are recognized for their excellence in research and demonstrated leadership, ability and Christian character. Amanda received a certificate of recognition from the Association of Christian Librarians and a small monetary award from Golisano Library. Hannah also received a certificate and monetary award.

Congratulations to Amanda and Hannah for their honors projects that exemplified the personal characteristics that Roberts Wesleyan College seeks to cultivate in its graduates and the research skills that Golisano Library seeks to promote and support in the students it serve
