Golisano Library Announces Fine Forgiveness Policy

The Golisano Library is pleased to announce that we will no longer collect late fines for books, DVDs and CDs. This will provide students with more flexibility when it comes to borrowing materials from the library and hopefully remove some obstacles for students who forget to return materials on time. Fines will still be assessed for lost books and overdue in-house loans (reserve materials, headphones, keys).

In chapel, on September 5 Matthew Ballard, Director of Library Services, gave a symbolic gift of the forgiven outstanding overdue fines and fees owed to the Library by students and recent graduates, totaling $5,657.59. Accepting the gift on behalf of the student body was Meghan Kettinger, Vice-President of the Student Association. We hope that this will serve as a gesture of goodwill towards the students and we look forward to seeing them in the Library!
