The Saint John's Bible Comes to New York

“Breathtakingly beautiful” is how Matthew Davis (Interim Systems Librarian) described his encounter with 1 of 299 Heritage Editions of The Saint John’s Bible. More on the Heritage Edition can be found HERE. Davis traveled to Siena College in Loudonville, New York to experience the special collection they acquired this year. The ecumenical spirit that was involved in the creation process is something of note too. The Saint John’s Bible is also the first handwritten illuminated Bible of its scale in over 500 years. Davis plans on coordinating with the Roberts Wesleyan College and Northeastern Seminary communities to host a joint-event focused on Art and the Bible in the upcoming year. The B. Thomas Golisano Library has the seven-volume, hardcover set and two supplementary books on the SJB. Expect a display in Spring 2019!
